PC Depot fiscal Q1 profit climbs 62.5% YOY

PC Depot Corp. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first quarter ended June 30 came to ¥11.71 per share, an increase of 40.3% from ¥8.34 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥536.3 million, an increase of 62.5% from ¥330.0 million in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin rose to 4.3% from 2.7% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue climbed year over year to ¥12.46 billion from ¥12.19 billion, and total operating expenses came to ¥11.63 billion, compared with ¥11.69 billion in the year-earlier period.

Reported net income grew 43.4% from the prior-year period to ¥523.8 million, or ¥11.43 per share, from ¥365.1 million, or ¥9.23 per share.

As of Aug. 14, US$1 was equivalent to ¥102.44.
