The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is asking for public comment on the efficiency and effectiveness of its rulemaking processes.
This is the seventh request for information under acting Director Mick Mulvaney's call for evidence to determine if the agency is functioning appropriately.
The next request, to be issued next week, will be about the regulator's adopted rules, and it plans to make similar calls for information regarding inherited rules, guidance and implementation support, consumer education, and consumer inquiries.
