Daisyo Corp. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Feb. 28 amounted to ¥4.04 per share, an increase from 69 sen per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥83.6 million, an increase from ¥14.4 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin rose to 0.5% from 0.1% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue came to ¥18.57 billion, compared with ¥18.69 billion in the prior-year period, and total operating expenses decreased from the prior-year period to ¥18.44 billion from ¥18.64 billion.
Reported net income totaled ¥22.0 million, or ¥1.06 per share, compared to a loss of ¥238.0 million, or a loss of ¥11.51 per share, in the year-earlier period.
As of April 14, US$1 was equivalent to ¥119.09.
