Cheniere allowed to introduce gas to 5th train at Sabine Pass export facility

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission approved Cheniere Energy Inc. subsidiaries' request to introduce gas and start commissioning a fifth natural gas liquefaction train at the Sabine Pass LNG export facility in Louisiana. The fifth train, which like the four trains already in service has an LNG production capacity of roughly 0.7 Bcf/d, is expected to enter commercial service in 2019.

Malaysia's Petronas to buy 25% stake in Shell-led LNG export project in Canada

Malaysia's state-owned Petroliam Nasional Bhd., or Petronas, struck a deal to acquire a 25% equity stake in the C$40 billion Royal Dutch Shell PLC-led LNG Canada export facility in British Columbia.
