Nordic Entertainment Group to adopt new operating model

Nordic Entertainment Group AB will shake up its organizational and operations model, effective Oct. 1.

The new set-up is based on specialties that operate across the group in areas such as people, sales, content, marketing and technology. As part of the move, NENT Studios, the company's production business comprising 32 companies across 17 countries, will be split into three units covering the Nordic region and central and eastern Europe, the U.K. and the U.S., according to a Sept. 5 news release.

In line with the reorganization, Nordic Entertainment is forming a NENT Studios U.S. unit, following its recent investment in U.S. production company Picturestart. The company plans to appoint a CEO for the U.S. unit soon.

Nordic Entertainment's executive management team will be reduced to eight members from 15 members. The new management team will be comprised of President and CEO Anders Jensen; Executive Vice President and CFO Gabriel Catrina; Executive Vice President and Chief People and Culture Officer Sahar Kupersmidt; Executive Vice President and Chief Content Officer Filippa Wallestam; Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer Kim Poder; Executive Vice President and Chief Corporate Affairs Officer Matthew Hooper; Executive Vice President and Chief Technology and Product Officer Kaj af Kleen; and Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Mia Suazo Eriksson.

The company will also have an extended management team with the addition of Senior Vice President and NENT Studios Nordics and CEE Head Morten Mogensen, NENT Studios U.K. CEO Jakob Mejlhede Andersen, NENT Sport Head Kim Mikkelsen, and Senior Vice President and Viasat Consumer CEO Jonas Gustafsson.
