The VC Beat: Uniphore reaps $51M; Attentive gets $40M in series B financing

* Uniphore, a conversational artificial intelligence technology company, pulled in $51 million in a series C funding round led by March Capital Partners, alongside investors including Chiratae Ventures, Sistema Asia, CXO Fund, ITP, Iron Pillar and the Patni family.

* A $40 million series B financing round led by Sequoia was raised for Attentive, a personalized mobile messaging software-as-a-service platform for consumer brands, with participation from existing backers Bain Capital Ventures, Eniac Ventures and NextView Ventures and new investors IVP and High Alpha. Attentive brought in $11.0 million in a series A round in February 2018.

* Insight Partners led a $14 million series A round for cloud-native data management company Kasten. It collected $3.0 million in seed financing in March 2017.
