Report: KKR weighs sale of portfolio company Epicor Software

KKR & Co. is considering selling Epicor Software Corp. at a potential company valuation of nearly $5 billion, including debt, Reuters reported, citing people familiar with the matter.

The private equity giant has tapped an investment bank to run an auction for the Austin, Texas-based enterprise resource planning software company, the sources told the news outlet. Epicor reportedly could draw interest from other buyout firms.

KKR bought Epicor from Apax Partners LLP for $3.3 billion, including debt, in 2016.

Epicor did not respond to a request for comment, and KKR declined to comment, according to Reuters.
