TiVo Corp. unveiled its new Stream 4K device, which will provide integrations with multiple streaming services, including DISH Network Corp.-owned Sling TV, Netflix Inc., Google LLC's YouTube LLC and Amazon.com Inc.'s Prime Video.
The TiVo Stream 4K will be available in April with an initial launch pricing of $49.99 and will launch with Sling TV as its preferred source for subscription TV.
The Sling TV app will be available on the TiVo Stream 4K box, and Sling content listings will be surfaced via universal search, the company said Jan. 7.
TiVo entered into a comarketing partnership with Schurz Communications Inc. as the first multichannel video programming distributor to market TiVo Stream 4K.
In other company news, TiVo's video network, TiVo+, is adding an additional 23 new channels to its current lineup of 26 free streaming channels on its platform. The new channels will be added to the service in the coming weeks. TiVo+ is debuting its News category, with a lineup including USA Today, Cheddar LLC and Top Stories by Newsy.
The video network will also expand its sports offerings with the addition of Sportswire and MMA Junkie as well as by offering additional Lifestyle channels from partners, including Condé Nast, Tastemade, Latido Music, Mobcrush and Revry.
TiVo+ is exclusively available to TiVo customers and offers free livestreaming channels and thousands of movies and TV shows.
