Falck Renewables, REG Windpower form JV to develop 200 MW of wind, solar in UK

Falck Renewables Wind Ltd., a subsidiary of Italy-headquartered Falck Renewables SpA, and U.K. developer REG Windpower Ltd. formed a joint venture to develop wind and solar projects totaling about 200 MW in the U.K.

The new venture, Naturalis Energy Developments Ltd., is 70%-owned by Falck Renewables Wind Ltd. and 30% by REG Damery Developers Ltd.

The new company has one solar and one wind project already in its pipeline, subject to certain regulatory authorizations, according to an Oct. 10 news release from Falck.

Falck Renewables Wind will benefit from an option to purchase and build the projects itself or sell them.
