Universal Copper Ltd. scrapped its planned acquisition of a portion of the Gachala copper project in Colombia to focus on its Poplar copper property in British Columbia.
In April, the company entered a definitive agreement with Max Resource Corp. to acquire the seven mineral license applications comprising the North Block of the Gachala project, in exchange for a 14.3% interest.
Universal Copper said Sept. 24 that it will continue with planned exploration at Poplar, where mineralization remains open at surface and to depth.
