Hawkins Cookers Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31 was 16.47 Indian rupees per share, a decline of 28.0% from 22.88 rupees per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 87.1 million rupees, a decline of 28.0% from 121.0 million rupees in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin dropped to 5.3% from 8.2% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue rose 11.1% on an annual basis to 1.63 billion rupees from 1.47 billion rupees, and total operating expenses increased 16.5% year over year to 1.49 billion rupees from 1.28 billion rupees.
Reported net income declined 26.5% on an annual basis to 96.5 million rupees, or 18.24 rupees per share, from 131.2 million rupees, or 24.82 rupees per share.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled 55.92 rupees per share, a decline of 17.1% from 67.44 rupees per share in the prior year.
Normalized net income was 295.7 million rupees, a decrease of 17.1% from 356.6 million rupees in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue grew 12.6% year over year to 5.14 billion rupees from 4.57 billion rupees, and total operating expenses rose 16.5% year over year to 4.67 billion rupees from 4.01 billion rupees.
The company said reported net income fell 16.1% on an annual basis to 321.2 million rupees, or 60.74 rupees per share, in the full year, from 382.8 million rupees, or 72.40 rupees per share.
