Report: EQT in talks to buy data center company EdgeConneX for $2.5B

EQT Partners AB is in discussions to acquire Herndon, Va.-based data center company EdgeConneX Inc., Bloomberg News reported, citing people familiar with the matter.

The Nordic private equity firm could buy the company from investors including Providence Equity Partners LLC, one of the people said.

The talks may not result in a deal, and final decisions have not been made, the sources added, according to the news outlet.

Representatives for the two buyout firms did not comment on the matter, while a representative for EdgeConneX did not immediately answer Bloomberg's request for comment.
