Lone Star injects €250M into Novo Banco

Novo Banco SA's share capital increased to €5.90 billion from €5.65 billion following a €250 million capital increase that was fully subscribed by U.S. private equity firm Lone Star through Nani Holdings SGPS SA.

The €250 million capital injection is part of a €1 billion deal that saw Lone Star take a controlling stake in Novo Banco.

The Portuguese bank's share capital is composed of 9,799,999,997 nominative and dematerialized shares with no nominal value, held at 75% by Nani Holdings and 25% by the Portuguese Resolution Fund.
