Jetking Infotrain Ltd said its normalized net income for the fiscal first quarter ended June 30 was 1.98 Indian rupees per share, a gain of 80.5% from 1.10 rupees per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 11.7 million rupees, a gain of 81.2% from 6.4 million rupees in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin climbed to 18.9% from 8.9% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue decreased 14.5% on an annual basis to 61.8 million rupees from 72.3 million rupees, and total operating expenses decreased 5.8% from the prior-year period to 74.4 million rupees from 79.0 million rupees.
Reported net income grew 88.1% year over year to 13.2 million rupees, or 2.23 rupees per share, from 7.0 million rupees, or 1.19 rupees per share.
As of Aug. 12, US$1 was equivalent to 61.08 Indian rupees.
