TSI Holdings Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Aug. 31 was a loss of ¥9.99 per share, compared with a loss of ¥8.04 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of ¥1.08 billion, compared with a loss of ¥893.8 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin declined to negative 2.7% from negative 2.1% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue declined on an annual basis to ¥40.33 billion from ¥41.92 billion, and total operating expenses decreased year over year to ¥42.49 billion from ¥44.21 billion.
Reported net income came to a loss of ¥2.05 billion, or a loss of ¥19.06 per share, compared to a loss of ¥3.40 billion, or a loss of ¥30.57 per share, in the prior-year period.
As of Oct. 14, US$1 was equivalent to ¥107.05.
