SmartBank names regional president; Western Heritage Bank promotes 2 execs

Tennessee-based SmartBank promoted Mike Honeycutt to regional president. He will oversee the Knox, Sevier, Hamblen and Blount county markets.

He has been with the bank since 2014, when he was hired as a corporate commercial lending officer, before being promoted to Knoxville area market executive.

Honeycutt also is the bank's director of treasury management and will continue in that role. The bank is a unit of SmartFinancial Inc.


Las Cruces, N.M.-based Western Heritage Bank promoted Henry Villa to senior vice president of its El Paso market and Brandy Darden to market president for Las Cruces, El Paso Inc. reported.

Villa joined the bank as commercial loan officer and vice president in 2016. Darden was senior vice president at the New Mexico First Financial Inc. unit.


Red Bluff, Calif.-based Cornerstone Community Bancorp said that Brian Haugen was added to the board of Cornerstone Community Bank, expanding the board to 10 members, the Red Bluff Daily News reported.

He is a board-certified ophthalmologist at Northridge Eye Care.
