Aquis Entertainment H1 loss widens 49.8% YOY

Aquis Entertainment Ltd. said its normalized net income for the first half amounted to a loss of 1 Australian cents per share, compared with a loss of 1 cents per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of A$2.7 million, compared with a loss of A$1.8 million in the prior-year period.

Total revenue grew 17.8% year over year to A$10.6 million from A$9.0 million, and total operating expenses climbed 21.3% on an annual basis to A$14.4 million from A$11.9 million.

Reported net income came to a loss of A$3.9 million, or a loss of 2 cents per share, compared to a loss of A$2.1 million, or a loss of 1 cents per share, in the year-earlier period.
