Lindt & Sprüngli AG said its normalized net income for the first half came to CHF260.07 per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of CHF340.20 per share.
EPS increased year over year from CHF254.80.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was CHF62.1 million, a gain from CHF60.8 million in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue climbed on an annual basis to CHF1.56 billion from CHF1.51 billion, and total operating expenses climbed on an annual basis to CHF1.45 billion from CHF1.41 billion.
Reported net income increased year over year to CHF75.5 million, or CHF316.00 per share, from CHF72.4 million, or CHF303.60 per share.
