Dairy Farm International Holdings Ltd is set to join Singapore's Straits Times Index on Sept. 24, according to a Sept. 6 Singapore Exchange release.
The Hong Kong-based food company will replace Singaporean telecoms company StarHub Ltd., the SGX said.
Upon inclusion, Dairy Farm will be one of five STI companies that are quoted and traded in U.S. dollar.
Dairy Farm's inclusion also means that the consumer goods industry will now have four representative stocks that will take up between 6% to 7% of the STI weights, the SGX added.
The other three consumer goods stocks are Thai Beverage Public Company Ltd, Wilmar International Ltd and Golden Agri-Resources Ltd.
