Group Sense fiscal H1 loss widens 40.8% YOY

Group Sense (International) Ltd said its normalized net income for the fiscal first half ended Sept. 30 was a loss of 2 Hong Kong cents per share, compared with a loss of 2 cents per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of HK$27.8 million, compared with a loss of HK$19.8 million in the prior-year period.

Total revenue decreased 34.7% on an annual basis to HK$115.5 million from HK$176.9 million, and total operating expenses fell 21.6% year over year to HK$168.8 million from HK$215.3 million.

Reported net income came to a loss of HK$45.9 million, or a loss of 4 cents per share, compared to a loss of HK$32.6 million, or a loss of 3 cents per share, in the prior-year period.
