BlackRock shareholders vote against greater lobbying disclosure

BlackRock Inc. shareholders voted against a shareholder proposal seeking full disclosure of certain trade association and lobbying expenditures.

The proposal recommended that a report should be filed annually to disclose the company's lobbying activities and expenditures.

The board had said that the action was unnecessary and urged shareholders to vote against it.
