Investment company Arca Capital agreed to acquire a 9.9% holding in Austria-based Wiener Privatbank SE, E15 reported.
The transaction price was not disclosed, but the market value of the stake is estimated at over €3 million, according to the Sept. 16 report.
Arca Capital made its first attempt to acquire Wiener Privatbank shares in 2017, when it agreed to purchase a controlling stake in the Austrian lender. However, it withdrew a request for regulatory approval for the deal at the end of 2018, citing changes in its ownership and shareholder structure, E15 noted.
Arca Capital is controlled by its management board head Rastislav Velič, who holds a 60% stake in the company, while investors Peter Krištofovič and Henrich Kiš own stakes of 30% and 10%, respectively. The company operates in the Czech and Slovak markets.
