Pergamon Status Q2 profit climbs YOY

Pergamon-Status Dis Ticaret AS said its normalized net income for the second quarter amounted to 7 kurus per share, an increase of 80.7% from 4 kurus per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 509,980 lira, an increase from 189,630 lira in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin increased to 52.2% from 17.6% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue decreased 9.6% year over year to 976,150 lira from 1.1 million lira, and total operating expenses climbed 33.2% on an annual basis to 868,430 lira from 651,740 lira.

Reported net income increased year over year to 671,400 lira, or 9 kurus per share, from 202,130 lira, or 4 kurus per share.

As of Aug. 10, US$1 was equivalent to 2.79 Turkish lira.
