Kemp fiscal Q3 profit falls YOY

Kemp and Company Ltd said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, came to 79 Indian paise per share, a decrease of 58.3% from 1.89 rupees per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 856,250 rupees, a decline of 58.1% from 2.0 million rupees in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin declined to 5.7% from 12.0% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue decreased 11.3% year over year to 15.1 million rupees from 17.0 million rupees, and total operating expenses fell 7.0% year over year to 13.8 million rupees from 14.8 million rupees.

Reported net income declined 63.5% on an annual basis to 890,000 rupees, or 82 paise per share, from 2.4 million rupees, or 2.26 rupees per share.

As of Feb. 12, US$1 was equivalent to 62.20 Indian rupees.
