Nakayamafuku fiscal Q3 profit climbs YOY

Nakayamafuku Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, came to ¥15.52 per share, an increase from ¥15.33 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥313.1 million, a gain from ¥309.4 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin rose to 2.6% from 2.5% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue decreased on an annual basis to ¥12.10 billion from ¥12.23 billion, and total operating expenses came to ¥11.88 billion, compared with ¥11.96 billion in the prior-year period.

Reported net income fell 30.7% year over year to ¥248.0 million, or ¥12.29 per share, from ¥358.0 million, or ¥17.74 per share.

As of Feb. 12, US$1 was equivalent to ¥118.90.
