Euler Hermes names country manager for Bulgaria

Euler Hermes Group SA named Kamelia Popova to serve as country manager for Bulgaria.

Popova will report to Ed Goos, CEO for central and eastern Europe. The company said her appointment follows increasing demand from Bulgarian firms looking to grow domestic and export-focused businesses.

The company noted that it opened an office in the Bulgarian capital Sofia in 2015 and added local risk underwriting capacity in 2016.

Popova was most recently managing director for Saranda Distribution, representing more than 20 international brands in Bulgaria.

Euler Hermes is majority-owned by Allianz SE, which is fully owned by Allianz Group.
