Nautic Partners adds Spartech to portfolio

Nautic Partners LLC wrapped up its acquisition of Spartech LLC from fellow middle-market private equity firm Arsenal Capital Partners Inc.

The Maryland Heights, Mo.-headquartered company makes specialized acrylics and other engineered extruded plastics used in various applications and end markets.

Nautic targets companies in the healthcare, industrial products, and outsourced services sectors, while Arsenal focuses on specialty industrials and healthcare companies.

BNP Paribas provided funding for the transaction, which was in partnership with the company's management team.

Locke Lord LLP represented Nautic, while Baird and Kirkland & Ellis LLP provided advice to Spartech and Arsenal.
