Emei Shan Tourism Co. Ltd. said its second-quarter normalized net income was 7 fen per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 11 fen per share.
EPS increased 17.5% year over year from 6 fen.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 39.0 million yuan, a gain of 18.5% from 32.9 million yuan in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin climbed to 15.1% from 14.0% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue grew 8.9% on an annual basis to 256.7 million yuan from 235.6 million yuan, and total operating expenses grew 6.4% from the prior-year period to 192.4 million yuan from 180.8 million yuan.
Reported net income grew 18.9% from the prior-year period to 52.2 million yuan, or 10 fen per share, from 43.9 million yuan, or 8 fen per share.
