Marathon Petroleum Corp. assistant treasurer Peter Gilgen was appointed vice president and treasurer of MPLX LP's general partner, MPLX GP LLC, effective Feb. 1.

Gilgen is replacing Josh Hallenbeck and will remain in Findlay, Ohio, according to a Jan. 30 news release. He will still report to the vice president of finance and treasurer of Marathon, Tom Kaczynski, and will also report to Pamela Beall, executive vice president and CFO of MPLX GP LLC.

Prior to his new role, Gilgen had worked for Marathon in various positions in finance, business development and treasury since 1981.
