Komeri fiscal Q1 profit falls YOY

Komeri Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first quarter ended June 30 came to ¥64.88 per share, a decrease of 23.8% from ¥85.10 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥3.30 billion, a decline of 23.7% from ¥4.33 billion in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin declined to 3.9% from 4.9% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue declined year over year to ¥85.46 billion from ¥88.02 billion, and total operating expenses came to ¥80.11 billion, compared with ¥80.89 billion in the year-earlier period.

Reported net income decreased 17.0% year over year to ¥3.42 billion, or ¥67.32 per share, from ¥4.13 billion, or ¥81.14 per share.

As of Aug. 14, US$1 was equivalent to ¥102.44.
