Constance Hotels Services Ltd. said its normalized net income for the first quarter was 1.58 Mauritian rupees per share, an increase of 10.1% from 1.44 rupees per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 173.1 million rupees, a gain of 10.0% from 157.4 million rupees in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin climbed to 14.7% from 14.2% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue grew 6.6% on an annual basis to 1.18 billion rupees from 1.11 billion rupees, and total operating expenses climbed 10.3% from the prior-year period to 825.2 million rupees from 748.0 million rupees.
Reported net income grew 11.1% year over year to 260.6 million rupees, or 2.38 rupees per share, from 234.5 million rupees, or 2.14 rupees per share.
