Blue Capital Reinsurance Holdings Ltd.'s board declared a special dividend of 59 cents per common share, payable March 15 to shareholders of record as of Feb. 28.

The company also reported fourth-quarter 2016 net income and comprehensive income of $4.0 million, or 46 cents per share, compared with $5.4 million, or 62 cents per share, in the prior-year quarter. For the full year 2016, net income and comprehensive income was $14.3 million, or $1.63 per share, versus $20.7 million, or $2.36 per share, a year earlier.
