Eurozone goods trade surplus shrinks in June

The eurozone's seasonally adjusted trade surplus shrank to €17.9 billion in June from a revised €19.6 billion in May, data from Eurostat showed.

Exports fell 0.6% month over month to 194.3 billion, while imports rose 0.3% to 176.4 billion.

On a yearly basis, the goods surplus contracted to €20.6 billion in unadjusted terms, compared with €22.6 billion in June 2018. Exports totaled €189.9 billion, down 4.7%, and imports fell 4.1% to €169.3 billion.

Intra-euro area trade fell 6.6% to €160.5 billion in June this year, compared with June 2018, in unadjusted terms.
