TA Enterprise fiscal Q3 profit climbs YOY

TA Enterprise Berhad said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Oct. 31 was 4 Malaysian sen per share, an increase from 1 sen per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 76.0 million ringgits, a gain from 22.8 million ringgits in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin increased to 23.5% from 11.1% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue grew 57.9% on an annual basis to 323.0 million ringgits from 204.6 million ringgits, and total operating expenses climbed 19.7% year over year to 179.2 million ringgits from 149.7 million ringgits.

Reported net income fell 24.6% year over year to 31.7 million ringgits, or 2 sen per share, from 42.0 million ringgits, or 2 sen per share.

As of Dec. 17, US$1 was equivalent to 3.48 ringgits.
