Delphi Automotive PLC said its normalized net income for the second quarter amounted to $1.21 per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of $1.65 per share.
EPS climbed year over year from $1.17.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was $324.9 million, an increase from $318.9 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin fell to 7.5% from 7.6% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue increased on an annual basis to $4.32 billion from $4.21 billion, and total operating expenses increased from the prior-year period to $3.73 billion from $3.64 billion.
Reported net income increased 43.9% on an annual basis to $369.9 million, or $1.38 per share, from $257.0 million, or 94 cents per share.
