Report: India's Oyo, partner pay $135M for Las Vegas hotel

Indian lodging company Oyo and partner Highgate acquired the 657-room Hooters Casino Hotel Las Vegas for $135 million, The Wall Street Journal reported, citing people with knowledge of the matter.

The sellers were Junius Real Estate Partners and Trinity Hotel Investors, according to the publication.

Oyo and Highgate aim to spend approximately $20 million on renovations at the property, which marks Oyo's maiden U.S. asset acquisition under its global expansion program, the Journal added, citing a person with knowledge of the deal.

The property, which will be rebranded Oyo Hotel & Casino Las Vegas, becomes the largest hotel operating under the Oyo brand, according to the report.
