Makalot Industrial profit misses consensus by 21.2% in Q3

Makalot Industrial Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the third quarter amounted to NT$2.31 per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of NT$2.93 per share.

EPS increased 26.3% year over year from NT$1.83.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was NT$482.9 million, an increase of 33.9% from NT$360.6 million in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin increased to 6.9% from 6.1% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue climbed 17.4% year over year to NT$6.99 billion from NT$5.95 billion, and total operating expenses climbed 17.0% from the prior-year period to NT$6.28 billion from NT$5.37 billion.

Reported net income increased 36.7% year over year to NT$629.6 million, or NT$3.01 per share, from NT$460.4 million, or NT$2.33 per share.
