Pebblebrook selling Los Angeles hotel for $72.9M

Pebblebrook Hotel Trust is under contract to sell Hotel Amarano Burbank in Los Angeles for about $72.9 million to an unnamed third party.

The sale of the 132-room hotel is expected to close during the third quarter.

Additionally, the hotel real estate investment trust said Viceroy Hotels & Resorts will serve as the third-party operator of two of its upper-upscale hotels, Mason & Rook Hotel and Donovan Hotel, both in downtown Washington, D.C., effective July 1.

The 178-room Mason & Rook hotel will operate under the Viceroy brand as Viceroy Hotel Washington, D.C., after a renovation and improvement program expected to be completed by early 2020. The 193-room Donovan hotel will relaunch as part of the Unofficial Z Collection in 2020.
