UBS Group AG has appointed Sebastian Pollems co-head of investment banking for Germany and Austria, Finews reported, citing German news portal Finanzen.
Pollems, who shares the position with Philip von Malsen-Plessen, will take up the role over the coming year, according to the report. He joins from Morgan Stanley.
The move followed UBS' appointment of Marco Illy, previously head of Credit Suisse Group AG's investment bank, as head of investment banking for Switzerland.
Meanwhile, Severin Brizay, head of M&A for Europe, Middle East and Africa at UBS, and Laurent Dhome, managing director for financial sponsors for Europe at the Swiss lender, are set to leave the bank to join Bank of America Corp., Bloomberg News reported, citing people familiar with the matter.
Brizay will reportedly become head of consumer and retail investment banking for EMEA at the Wall Street lender, while Dhome will advise private equity clients. The pair will join Bank of America in August, according to the report.
