Sunoco closes $20M sale of NY corn ethanol plant to Attis Industries

Sunoco LP completed the sale of a corn ethanol facility and grain malting operations in New York to healthcare technology company Attis Industries Inc. for $20 million in cash.

The Energy Transfer LP fuel distributor divested its ethanol plant in Fulton, N.Y., which has a nameplate capacity of 100 million gallons per year, according to a June 3 news release. The agreement between the two parties includes a 10-year offtake deal for the ethanol produced at the facility, as well as a six-month transition services agreement.

Sunoco distributes motor fuel to dealers, commercial customers and distributors in more than 30 states.
