Sunnova partners with Petersen-Dean to accommodate Calif. solar mandate

Sunnova Energy International Inc. partnered with Petersen-Dean Inc. Roofing & Solar to accommodate demand for residential solar and energy storage services when California's home solar mandate kicks in Jan. 1, 2020.

Under the policy, virtually all new residential buildings that secure a permit after Jan. 1, 2020, are required to install rooftop solar systems.

"This innovative partnership will enable homebuilders to affordably and easily meet the new California solar requirements with an integrated solution," Sunnova CEO John Berger said in a news release.
