StanChart's Kenyan unit appoints chairman

Standard Chartered Bank Kenya Ltd. appointed Patrick Obath as the chairman of its supervisory board, Business Daily Africa reported May 23.

Obath, who joined the Standard Chartered PLC unit as a nonexecutive director in 2012, will serve in his new position for five years, the publication said.

He replaces Anne Mutahi, whose five-year term came to an end in December 2018, the report said.
