Insurance moves: Chubb appoints deputy regional president for Asia-Pacific

Aviva insurance executive Angus Eaton left the company to join law firm Slater and Gordon, the Insurance Times reported.

At Slater and Gordon, Eaton will serve as managing director of legal services and chief risk officer.


Risk Strategies appointed Matthew Power to lead its national wholesale and alternative distribution operations in Boston.

Power will oversee the development of new programs as the firm seeks to build out its portfolio of specialty wholesale businesses and offerings. Previously, he served as national branch president and head of wholesale broker engagement at Lexington Insurance Co.

Property and casualty

Chubb Ltd. appointed Glen Browne deputy regional president for Asia-Pacific and division president for Southeast Asia.

Browne will be responsible for the general management and business results in Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam, as well as any future territories in Southeast Asia. He retains his current role as executive vice president and regional head of accident and health for Asia-Pacific, inclusive of all digital distribution and bancassurance for Asia. He will continue to be based in Singapore.


Willis Towers Watson PLC appointed Steve Arrowsmith executive vice president and head of client services for Bermuda, Captive Insurance Times reported.

Arrowsmith previously served as CEO for JLT Insurance Management (Bermuda).


Ames & Gough named Matt Gough and Brett Gough executive vice presidents, Insurance Business reported.

They will head the firm's operations in Washington, D.C., and Boston, respectively. They previously served as senior vice presidents and partner of the firm.
