Aterian buys floor-coverings provider Xpress Global Systems

Aterian Investment Partners LLC, through one of its affiliates, purchased Xpress Global Systems Inc. for an undisclosed amount.

Panton Capital Holdings sold Xpress to Aterian, according to S&P Global Market Intelligence data.

Xpress is a Chattanooga, Tenn.-based floor-covering products provider. It distributes carpets, area rugs, turfs and hard surface floor coverings across its 28 service centers in the U.S.

Aterian is a middle-market investment firm targeting companies with annual revenues between $25 million and $500 million.

Loughlin Management Partners + Co. and Weil Gotshal & Manges LLP served as adviser to Panton and Aterian, respectively.
