National HealthCare to repurchase $25M of common stock

National HealthCare Corp.'s board authorized a repurchase of up to $25 million of the company's common stock.

The 2019 share repurchase program will begin Sept. 1 and will expire Aug. 31, 2020, according to the Murfreesboro, Tenn.-based healthcare facilities operator.

NHC, which operates nursing facilities, assisted living communities and a behavioral health hospital, said the new program will replace the previous stock repurchase plan that was approved Aug. 9, 2018. The earlier repurchase plan will be active until Aug. 31.
