CBRE Global Investors to implement sustainability assessment across EMEA assets

CBRE Global Investors Inc. partnered with the U.K.'s Building Research Establishment to roll out a sustainability assessment strategy across its portfolio in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

The five-year project will involve applying the BREEAM In-Use International 2015 certification scheme across the company's portfolio of more than 360 assets.

The partners plan to issue a joint request for proposals that will be open to all BREEAM assessors to allow efficient management of huge volumes of assessments, according to a release.

The BREEAM In-Use scheme is expected to help CBRE measure, manage, track and enhance the operation of its asset portfolio using a digital platform that can compare asset performance across funds and territories.
