Electricite de France grosses $1.49 billion from debt offering

Electricité de France SA raised gross proceeds of $1.49 billion from an offering of 2.35% senior unsecured bonds due Oct. 13, 2020.

The company plans to use the proceeds for general corporate purposes or working capital.

Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria SA, Bank of America Corp., Citigroup Inc., Commerzbank AG, Credit Agricole SA, Credit Suisse Group AG, JPMorgan Chase & Co., Lloyds Banking Group PLC, Mediobanca Banca di Credito Finanziario SpA, Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group Inc., Mizuho Financial Group Inc., Nomura Holdings Inc., Societe Generale SA, Standard Chartered PLC and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp. were the lead underwriters.
