CEC International fiscal H1 profit falls YOY

CEC International Holdings Ltd said its normalized net income for the fiscal first half ended Oct. 31, 2015, was HK$6.1 million, a fall of 56.6% from HK$14.0 million in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.

Total revenue increased 10.6% on an annual basis to HK$1.26 billion from HK$1.14 billion, and total operating expenses rose 11.8% from the prior-year period to HK$1.24 billion from HK$1.11 billion.

Reported net income decreased 53.2% year over year to HK$8.1 million, or 1 cents per share, from HK$17.3 million, or 3 cents per share.
