Private equity firm Carlyle Group LP is expected to acquire Aberdeen, U.K.-based oil equipment and services company EnerMech Ltd., Sky News reported Oct. 12. Carlyle is likely to announce the takeover in the next few days.
Carlyle is making the investment through its International Energy Partners team, which focuses on deals in oil and gas exploration and production, refining and marketing, and oilfield services.
EnerMech, which is owned by Lime Rock Partners LLC, is an international services company providing asset support to the energy and infrastructure sectors.
Lime Rock, through private equity funds, provides growth capital in exploration and production and oilfield service companies within and outside the U.S.
