The Waterbase Ltd said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, came to 1.14 Indian rupees per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 1.09 rupees per share.
EPS increased 36.6% year over year from 84 paise.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 44.3 million rupees, a gain of 37.2% from 32.3 million rupees in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin climbed to 7.2% from 5.8% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue grew 10.6% year over year to 616.6 million rupees from 557.6 million rupees, and total operating expenses climbed 7.1% from the prior-year period to 545.6 million rupees from 509.6 million rupees.
Reported net income rose 30.3% on an annual basis to 42.2 million rupees, or 1.09 rupees per share, from 32.4 million rupees, or 84 paise per share.
As of Feb. 12, US$1 was equivalent to 62.20 Indian rupees.
